Event Overview
This event is open to junior players (18 & under) and levels from 1.0 – 6.0.
We will group players by their UTR/level to assure competitive match-ups.

Players will play 2 matches in a 2-hour window
Starting Time of Matches: 10:00am or 12:00 pm
We will announce your draw, scheduled match time, the Friday morning before the event.
Warmup courts available 30 mins before start time on first come first serve basis.
Scoring Format
2 “Fast4” Sets with Tie Break, No-Ad scoring (deuce sudden death)
At 3-3 games, play a 7-point Set Tie Break, first to 7 win by Two, switch sides every 6 points
If needed, 1-1 sets, play a 10-point Match Tie Break, first to 10 win by Two, switch sides every 6 points
Players call in and out, indicate verbally and with hand signals.
Announce the score at the first serve of each point.
Players call their own in and out, be fair, good sportsmanship is part of this game, if you are unsure call in favor of your opponent
Both players must come back to report the score and agree on the score, report both games scores and tie break scores.
All matches are played with the regulation yellow ball.

Check-in and Tournament Desk will be located by the tennis courts on Irvine Avenue.

Event Policies
This event is held on the Newport Harbor High School campus, so typical school rules apply. No dogs on campus. Restrooms are located in the boy’s and girl’s locker rooms. The campus is shared with other students, so other activities may be in progress while we are having match play. The goal of the event is to provide an opportunity for more kids to get experience with Verified Match Play and establish their UTR score.
Sportsmanship
NHHS Booster Club Representatives will be present at each event. Players and their parents must adhere strictly to the USTA Code of Conduct. Only the highest level of sportsmanship will be allowed.
Coaching is NOT ALLOWED. Spectators are allowed and encouraged to cheer, support with positive messages.
